I don't think it's inevitable in the same way I don't think a high-murder society is inevitable. I don't find it surprising that it developed, but I do think it is possible to have a less awful (albeit certainly not sinless) social order. I'm not particularly optimistic about the imminent prospects of a classless society by any stretch, and even if we were to somehow achieve a near-perfect society, we would still need the coming reign of Christ to rid the evil from our hearts, to prevent it from ever returning again, and to make right the injustices suffered by untold millions of people across human history.
