I think it’s clear that I’m more than willing to debate his opinions! That’s what a critique is. In any event, however, I didn’t call him racist. Here’s what I said directly in the piece: “I don’t think Sowell intends to espouse racist views, but I don’t think it is mere hysteria that brings people to call Sowell a racist, even if that’s not what I would say.” I’m saying I made a different judgment call from people who do call him a racist. I don’t, mainly because I think it isn’t helpful. I was just saying people don’t say that just because they disagree and want to get out of an argument. I wish you well!
